Moon Work-Waxing Moon Day 6

Moon Work

The morning ritual was a success. It took about an hour and a half to fit everything in. I started with smudging myself and everything in site. Then I went for a nice walk in the park, with the sunshine warming my skin. As I walked, I said a short prayer followed by a mantra of ‘Love, light, and blessings to all’ as I envisioned pink light. I felt my vibration rising, my energy level increasing, and my mood improving.

Be sure to repeat your mantra the entire time, either silently or out loud. After the walk, I grabbed my bowl of crystals and some tarot cards and sat under a tree. I pulled out my crystals, one at a time and laid them all out on the grass so they could soak up some fresh air and earth energy. Next, I did a daily tarot spread for myself, which I plan on recording in my partially completed art journal. Lastly, as I meditated alongside my crystals on the grass, face and palms up for about twenty minutes. It was a wonderful way to start the day. I plan on mixing it up a little and adding and subtracting until I get it just right.

Other than this awesome start to the day, I have been tired and in need of rest. I have a hard time being productive on Sundays in general, but also I think I’m processing through a lot of change right now. Even though I had bigger plans for today and wanted to make some serious progress, I simply didn’t have it it me.  Sometimes, we just have to ignore our plans and honor our wellbeing instead. That being said,  I am forcing myself to work a little this evening before calling it a day. So, for this sixth day of the waxing moon, I decided to write a spiritual petition.

A petition is a letter to the Universe, preferably written on brown paper bag material and in as much detail as possible, especially in instances where you’re wishing to manifest a specific kind of person, job, situation, or amount of money. Begin by tearing all four sides of the paper (don’t cut). Tear towards you and turn clockwise if manifesting and tear away from you and turn counter clockwise if banishing. if you’re wanting something short and to the point, like ‘Bring me $5000 now’, write that three times. Before you do this, you’ll first write your full name and your birthday three times. Next to this, you can try writing the desired fruition date. Turn the paper, and crossing your name and birthday, write out what you’re intending to manifest. Turn diagonally and sign your name three times across it all. If you’re wanting to manifest or bring something to you, you’ll always turn the paper clockwise. If you’re wanting to banish or send something or someone away, make sure you turn counter clockwise. Fold the paper smaller and smaller, towards you for attracting and away from you for removing.

You can then keep this in a special bag, box, or bottle along with specific herbs, crystals, and so on that support your spell or intention. You can also rip the paper into smaller and smaller pieces to burn with the intention of sending it out to the ethers to be answered. Whichever way calls to you is the right way for that time. Just make sure you follow the general guidelines mentioned above. They say this is very powerful, so make sure you’re clear on what you’re wishing for. Maybe I’ve not been specific enough the few times I’ve tried. I’m re-writing mine, and I’ll let you know what happens!

Creating a sacred space and setting the mood makes it all that more powerful. Light a candle, play some complimentary music to match your intention, and take some nice deep breaths before beginning. Once you’re centered and ready, enjoy working your magic. One last note, make sure you’re in a positive mindset and feeling energized before moving forward. For instance, I’m very much in hermit mode and feeling tired today, so waiting until I’m bright eyed and bushy tailed to try mine again would be an excellent idea.
