Another gorgeous day here in the phoenix area, so I ended up working on my art journal in the park this afternoon. Traveling with all of my craft supplies, I toted a couple of baskets of craft goodies over to the picnic table and got to work. Feeling creatively blocked as of late, this simple and mindless exercise unexpectedly cleared it. I found myself wishing I was working on larger pieces, but carrying any sizable canvases in my van would be impossible. It’s now dark out, and boy do evenings in the desert really cool down fast. I’m sitting in my van trying to keep warm as I write this.
It’s the fifth day of the waxing moon, and I’ve decided to incorporate a daily ritual into my life. I practice things sporadically, but I’ve been wanting something magical to connect with every morning. It’s vital that I enjoy it, that it brings me results, and that it doesn’t take up too much time. Because I feel connected with nature and animals on a soul level, it would make sense to incorporate them into my everyday life. Nature meditation would be a logical start. I do this already in my own way, but I need to do some research to find methods that feel more powerful. It would be awesome to organize some group blessings, but with COVID I’m not sure how many people would be up for that. Beginning an online group might be the way to go.
Incorporating meditation in nature, breathing exercises, maybe a short Qi gong routine, prayer, affirmations, mantras, and setting a daily intention could be a manageable morning practice. I’ll give it a try tomorrow! Some of this could be added into a morning walk! An evening ritual could include gratitude journaling and a guided shamanic journey. Volunteering at an animal shelter once a week or every two weeks would hopefully fulfill my animal quota! It all sounds great, but making these changes actually takes commitment. Something I’ve struggled with. But, there does come the point in life
I’ll be writing a blog soon about different ways to open the third eye, and once it’s fully open, communicating with animals, nature, and spirit in general is going to come naturally. Easier for some than others, as we all have our innate gifts as well as those we have to work harder at to develop. But, this is definitely on the top of my list of must-do’s for the new year. As the vibration of our planet continues to rise, we will find it all that much easier to expand into these spiritual abilities. Here’s to evolving!
